• Shane Martin continues his proven record of accessibility.  Cell Phone # (864-804-8499).  He continues to listen to his constituents, meet with them, e-mail them, and call them on the phone.
  By LISTENING to the people, Shane is able to stay "in-touch" and work to set policies that prevent problems in the future. He does the necessary research to make certain he has the facts.

Representation

• Shane is proud to be a strong leader who won't back down to political pressure from either side.
• Doing what is right is always more important than "going along to get along!"
• Shane Martin has a funds approval policy that all donations must adhere to!  There have been several donations returned due to potential conflicts of interest or the fact that a group may be improperly trying to influence my values.
• Shane Martin will sponsor and/or co-sponsor legislation that will improve the business environment and make it easier for businesses to do business and create jobs.

Issues

• Shane Martin believes that state and local law enforcement should aid federal authorities whenever possible in the removal of illegal aliens from South Carolina. He has co-sponsored "English Only" legislation.
• Shane Martin feels that wasteful government spending needs to be eliminated and has co-sponsored the 2009 Spending Accountability Act that includes Roll Call Voting!
• Shane Martin is an engineer / small business owner and feels, with his background and expertise, that he is suited to represent our state with industry and economic development.
• Shane Martin understands Education. His school board service kept him in touch with taxpayers, students, teachers, and parents. He is proud to have been a part of a board who aggressively addressed the high school drop out rate. Initiatives were put in place to identify and track potential dropouts. Personal contact is made with a potential dropout and a corrective reading program is in place with a 96% success rate in its first year! He also feels that a strong education system coupled with our community colleges (dual enrollment, etc.) is key to building an environment conducive to business - jobs for our children!
• Shane Martin believes 100% in our right to keep and bear arms! He will protect our 2nd amendment and uphold the rest of our constitution as well! He has introduced legislation to fix problems with our current CWP laws.
• Shane Martin is a Deacon at his church, is solidly PRO-LIFE, and believes that marriage is for a man and woman only!
• Shane Martin will only vote to put conservative judges on the bench!
