Shane, thank you for your faithful service. I also want to thank you for your personal friendship, as well as the dedication to all your constituents especially your availability and service to our family. You are a true leader in the community. The Sayre family will be available to assist you in any capacity and will lift you, Amy, and the children up in our daily prayers.
Shane Martin is a breath of fresh air to say the least! If all of our elected officials had his attitude of service and common sense this country could be great once again. He is the real deal!

Thanks for the website. It amazes me to be living somewhere that State Senators are not corrupt and unreachable, but part of the community! Keep up the good work! We need people like you!

Shane is a hard working Senator in Spartanburg County. He has been good to me and I supportive to him and he want the roll-call vote and the state sovereignty in the senate. I also support in the Pauline area and Senate District 13.I request Senator Shane that the economy is little bad in Spartanburg's Eastside retails and few restaurants and other business are shutting down because the economic downturn. I work at a part-time job at zaxby's on that side of town. I appreciate what he do in Columbia in the Senate. Thank you Your Friend, Daniel Gamble

Shane Martin is a wonderful person. It has been our honor meeting him a couple of times over the last few months. He is truly what our state needs! It is so nice to have a politician who supports us, and uses his voice to get things done. If you want change, and productivity mixed with a man who is down to earth with good values, and that you can be proud to shake hands with....vote for Shane Martin!

It is definitely a good day for South Carolina! Welcome to the Senate Shane. I am just sorry that I do not live in your district. I could however spread the word for you and hopefully help get you elected. If you need anything at all, do not hesitate to call. Thank you. A concerned family of South Carolina and a friend of Shane Martin.

I've known Shane Martin for more than thirty years. During that time I've seen him enjoy childhood, pursue an innovative career, and become a contributing citizen in Spartanburg county. Embracing him as a state Senator is easy. Maya Angelou says "One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency." Especially in politics, courage is essential. Courage comes from within. I would like to commend Shane Martin for seeing the great need for policy changes within our state government and having the courage to become a catalyst to create these changes.
Our present political practices need a revival. I feel that Shane Martin has the zeal and tenacity to join the new generation of politicians that are inspired by God. This inspiration makes them capable of taking the risks necessary to bring about changes which will benefit all groups of citizens. Shane's drive will create an awakening that will lead to answers for the forgotten questions about education, crime, poverty, healthcare, childcare and so much more. Wow, just the thoughts of Shane Martin being our State Senator causes a new beam of hope to appear for all South Carolinians.

Shane worked on projects with us at MEMC Spartanburg as a Clemson CoOp completing his Master Degree in Engineering. All of his assignments were completed to meet or exceed expectations, but his most outstanding contribution was his values towards his work, friends, and team members. Shane had and continues to display "True Grit" as a American proud of his Country and Community. I do know the future holds for this new Senator, but be assured Shane will not compromise his deep moral values and respect for those he will serve. Electing him to office is demonstrating your real effort to renew the great American Spirit. Frank

Shane is a huge asset to our community. He and I have known each other since we started school, almost 30 years ago, and have remained in contact through the years. That dedication is not just isolated to our friendship, but it is evident in all his relationships he forms. He does not meet a stranger, and his kind hearted and generous nature cannot help but shine through, to all that he meets, and in all that he does. When I first heard that Shane was running for the school board a few years ago, I was somewhat surprised, but once I thought about it, it made perfect sense.
I could think of no one better that I would want representing our children, making important decisions, based on values and faith. Now that he is moving forward and running for Senate, it again makes me proud to know that who is representing our community is one of us, and will do all that he can to make sure OUR interests are protected. I stand behind Shane 100%, because I know he is not doing this for himself, as he is not one to seek the limelight. He is not doing this as a pawn of others, as he is not one to be manipulated.
Shane is seeking to be our senator because he cares about our community, and is willing to stand up for our community, and do what is right, based on his values and faith. To have Shane Martin as our next Senator would be a much needed step in the right direction.

I am a friend of Shane Martin. I have known him for as long as I can remember. He has such a welcoming personality about him. Shane is a mighty servant of the Lord. The works that he does is not to glorify himself, but to glorify our Heavenly Father. As a matter of fact, I can think of several times I have thanked him for things and he has said to me not to thank him, but to thank the Lord because that is where his strength comes from. That is a testament of him. He is also an amazing family man. He makes sure, not only that everyone is cared for, but that love is poured over them.
Shane Martin is an awesome friend. He is proud of the friends he has, which in turn makes them proud to call him “friend”. He is such a community oriented person. He puts his whole heart into his community. There are so many unseen things that he does because he is not one to “toot his own horn”. When I think back over the years, I can honestly say he has never made me one promise that he has not kept. When it comes to Shane going into politics, I never would have thought that would happen. Not because he is not talented enough, but because he’s not flashy, power hungry, or the type to bash someone else to get ahead. He is though a Christian, a born leader, and an honest motivated person who wants nothing more than to see his community excel. As I have told him before, whatever field he enters and no matter what seat he anticipates filling, he has my support.
“There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your family shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you” Deuteronomy 12:7
